The inspiration for the above paintings derives from the recent news of Gaokao fraud.Like most negative news stories that are tolerated in China, they briefly skip stones on the water and then quickly quiet down. The decades stripped from those who have been replaced, and the rewriting of a lifetime’s fate of them, appears merely an appealing dinner conversation for the public. Under the sun, it’s hard to say that such a thing won’t happen again.

The painter with the pseudonym Peking-Fox shows a high degree of mastery in stylistic ability, colour, composition, and control of brushstrokes. His imagination and expressiveness, as well as his powerful satire of social reality, are somewhat reminiscent of the early Netherlandish master Hieronymus Bosch (1450-1516).

In terms of completeness, these works are simple and spot-on. The author states that it is his or her intention to focus on the meaning of the images with simple, expressive strokes.
