广东省揭西县男子曾某甲钦，在得知香港反送中系列示之后，于2019年8月在微信朋友圈发布一段配文为“我支持美国”的自拍视频，并在户外当众焚烧中共党旗，导致被捕。警方后查出其还曾在微信朋友圈发布“辱骂国家领导人及家属的不当言论”。2020年5月，检方对其提起寻衅滋事公诉，后续判决不详。
