南京女子丁燕，因于5月11日在微信群发表了一封写给习近平的公开信，促其放弃清零政策以保障民生，在当晚即被“查水表”。自由亚洲电台联系当地警方进行了确认，丁燕因此被关进了精神病院。丁燕此前曾多次因对社会事件发声而被抓，也曾多次被关进精神病院。

Nanjing woman Ding Yan, who posted her open letter to Xi Jinping in a WeChat group chat that requested him to abolish the Covid-zero Policy, arrested & locked up in a mental asylum the same day. Ding had been arrested & jailed in mental asylums several times for similar reasons.

河南滑县男子李某，因在推特发表了大量“抨击我国现行法律体系，损害国家领导人及共产党形象等混淆视听的虚假有害信息”，于2019年5月被处行政拘留15日及罚款1000元，次月被刑拘，并于同年10月被当地检方以寻衅滋事罪提起公诉，后续判决不详。

Henan man Li, who posted a large amount of “false & politically harmful information on Twitter that attacked the judicial system of China & smeared the image of state leaders and CCP”, criminally detained in Jun 2019 and prosecuted in Oct 2019. The court ruling remains unknown.
