中国的监视巨头百度在中国年期间抛出了九个亿RMB的诱饵,以引诱贪小便宜的用户下载他们的应用程序。不过百度的邪恶模式并没什么创意,Facebook在此玩得更惊人。

数以千计的印度用户可能在过去几个月内使用过这种叫做 Facebook Research 的东西,这东西是间谍软件,允许FB监视使用者的一举一动。相关揭露报道正在接踵而来。
最初由 TechCrunch 报道,Facebook Research 是一个应用程序,该公司会付钱给那些自愿安装它的青少年。该应用程序要求用户在手机上运行 Facebook 的虚拟专用网络(VPN)服务,因此允许 Facebook 公司监视用户的全部生活。
在关于该应用程序的报道之后,Apple 最初撤下了 Facebook 在其平台上测试面向消费者的应用程序的能力,但此后又恢复了,而谷歌尚未采取任何行动。事实上,谷歌反而删除了自己的一个应用程序(Screenwise Meter),该应用程序的工作方式类似于 Facebook Research。要知道,印度的 Android 手机使用量远远超过 iPhone 手机。

这是纯粹的胡扯。“知情同意”只是一张虚伪的羊皮,用户即便知道自己付出了隐私权,也并不会知道这些数据都被如何使用了。那些绕嘴的法律条款只有编写它的律师能读懂,而不是用户。并且,Facebook 使用的方法简直与传销有一拼。
该应用程序的用户之一 Harshit Ahuja 说,Facebook Research 应用程序已被该国至少48,000名用户下载。19岁的 Ahuja 告诉 Mint 他于2018年4月16日加入了该应用程序,此后一直拉其他人注册。他声称一直负责500–700个安装,为他赢得了超过 ₹ 5,00,000,钱转到自己的PayPal 账户。Ahuja 为我们提供了来自 uTest 平台的截图,屏幕截图中显示的用户数量是该应用程序的印度用户的数量。此外,Ahuja 还将我们引导到一个名叫 Kewal Krishan 的人 的 Facebook 个人资料中,这个人在平台上张贴了他的收入截图,显示 Krishan 通过推荐他人安装获得了超过 ₹ 1 lakh 的收入。
另一位用户,来自比哈尔邦的22岁博客作者兼互联网营销商 Vishal Darsheel 表示,Facebook Research 应用程序为他赢得了5,000美元。Darsheel 说,他从一个名为 Tricky Inbox 的 Facebook 群组中找到了该应用程序,但仅用了几个月。他在 Quora 上发布了一个谷歌表格,要求其他人注册。同一个 thread 上也有其他用户试图获得推荐。
Ahuja 告诉 Mint,他知道如果他下载应用程序,Facebook 会使用他的数据。他说他把这个应用程序放在他只用于运行移动热点的二手手机上,所以他并不担心。他提到另一位用户克隆了他的设备以安装 Facebook Research 应用程序的多个实例,赚了每月 ₹ 10 lakh。
虽然 Ahuja 声称的 48,000 个数字相当大,但实际安装数量可能会更大。该应用程序的另一位用户 Indranil Dutta 表示,他是通过 YouTube 视频看到的。他甚至分享了一个有20,000次观看的 视频链接 。据 Facebook 称,全球使用该应用的用户“总数不到150,000”。显然不是这样。
Facebook 目前已关闭来自印度的应用注册。Ahuja 和 Darsheel 都证实,不仅新的注册不再可能,推荐金额也减少了。事实上,Ahuja 认为新推荐金额(每个推荐约25美分)太低了。推荐金额过去是每月10美元。
