I’m curious about the background of redditors in this sub. Since the anti-west satires such as your comment can gain lots of upvotes, which is a distinct story comparing to other subs. This is interesting. Although I’m a Chinese teen and I know there are some International students studying in China uni, I don’t know that EA and other countries experience it a lot.
How the non-Chinese feel about it? Any resource?

Is that correct? If yes, any citation? I know lots of Taiwan citizens come to China to study, work, and do business and also lots of non-Chinese in the same case too. But I was not sure how this impact their society significantly.

并不是。某种意义上，粤语一直处于慢性被打压的状态，现在00后会讲粤语的大幅下降，地方语言电台和媒体都被打压，过个几十年广州讲粤语的大概就差不多没了

Yeah that is my key idea. America is the dominant cultural super power so American’s uncompatibility with subtitles is the result but not the reason (as you mentioned) of the unfavority of foreign movies.
